Punta Cana, DR.– KLM is launching two flights per week to Punta Cana from 31st October. The launch coincides with the beginning of the winter schedule, when tourists in Europe prefer the sunny Dominican Republic.

“Following the expansion of our Caribbean capacity to Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao, and the new scheduled service to Havana announced last month, I am delighted to announce that KLM will be adding Punta Cuna to its network from the winter of 2011,” KLM President & CEO Peter Hartman said.

“The Dominican Republic is a wonderful holiday destination and is in great demand in the Dutch market. We are looking forward to working with our partners in the travel world to make this destination a success,” he added.

Flights will depart for Punta Cana on Mondays and Thursdays via Havana. Services will leave Amsterdam Schiphol at 10:00am, arriving in Punta Cana at 19:30 in the evening.
